Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use LiveBible. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using LiveBible you represent that you meet these requirements.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Authentication is provided by Clerk. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

• LiveBible offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription. Current pricing is shown on our pricing page and may change with notice.
• Premium is billed monthly in advance through Stripe (via Clerk Billing). Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
• You may cancel at any time from your account menu. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain Premium access until then.
• Except where required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable. We may offer refunds at our sole discretion.
• Free-tier users are subject to usage quotas (for example limits on chats and voice session minutes per day). We may change these limits at any time.

LiveBible uses third-party AI models (including OpenAI and Google Gemini) to generate responses in the Ask Pastor and Live Pastor features. AI responses:

• Are generated by software and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading.
• Are not a substitute for professional pastoral counseling, medical advice, mental-health treatment, legal advice, or financial advice.
• Do not represent the views of any specific church, denomination, clergy, or religious authority.

If you are experiencing a crisis or need professional help, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services in your area. You use AI-generated content at your own discretion and risk.

You agree not to:

• Use LiveBible for any unlawful, harmful, harassing, or fraudulent purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
• Share, resell, or expose your account credentials or subscription to others.
• Upload or transmit content that infringes intellectual-property rights or contains malware.
• Attempt to bypass usage quotas, rate limits, or billing controls.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

You retain ownership of prayers, questions, and other content you submit. You grant LiveBible a limited, worldwide license to process that content in order to operate the service (for example routing a question to an AI provider and returning the answer to you). We do not sell or publicly distribute your content.

Scripture passages are provided by third-party public sources (including bible-api.com) and are presented for personal devotional use. Rights to specific translations remain with their respective publishers.

We work to keep LiveBible available, but we do not guarantee uptime. Features, quotas, pricing, and third-party integrations may change, be added, or be removed at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the service, in whole or in part, with reasonable notice where feasible.

LiveBible is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties regarding accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LiveBible and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $50.

You agree to indemnify and hold LiveBible harmless from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms.

You may stop using LiveBible and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive (for example payment obligations, disclaimers, and limitation of liability).

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, where applicable, the laws of the state in which LiveBible is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in the United States, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of LiveBible after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
